CHI: Samah Lounge

samah

Despite the fact that there’s no alcohol served here, Samah Lounge is still one of my favorite places to sit back, relax and unwind with close friends and a puff of delicious hookah.

Samah’s specialty lies in the private rooms they offer – cozy little areas separated by draping curtains that give just the right amount of privacy. Whether you’re with your honey or your inner posse, you can sit on one of the many colorful, plush curtains and huddle around an antique wooden table. It’s all very sultry, very exotic, very ethno-chic!

Their music is also amazing – the folks at Samah love to mix it up a little. On my many different nights here, they’ve played all sorts of cool music including world, house, Moroccan and even a few Bollywood tracks. Whatever they’re playing on any given night, it’s always the perfect mood-setter to your hookah high.

And whoever says they can’t get high off of hookah clearly has never paid a visit to Samah. They offer an exquisite range of delicious and strong flavors. The best way to enjoy Samah is by making a reservation and showing up with a group. Their $10 package includes a hookah and a drink, so if you’re with a group, you can try all sorts of different crazy flavors including Hawaiian Boobs, Twisted Pleasure and Apple Pie. My fave? Definitely Twisted Pleasure – always gives me a crazy high!

My only suggestion for improvement for Samah: let us BYOB! And maybe bring in belly dancers on a few nights ;)
