Time to cheat a little bit.
Though this blog is strictly reserved for Chicago and Toronto, I need to give a shout-out to this wonderful European-style coffee shop I visited in Atlanta over Thanksgiving break.
It’s a shame that Cafe Intermezza is only based in Georgia, because I know plenty of dessert-loving Northerners who would simply adore its old-school charm. With its dark interiors, romantic candlelight and wooden furnishings, this place is so quaint and so reminiscent of a 17th century artist’s hub.
And the sweets, oh my! With its enviable menu of exotic beverages (including alcoholic ones), you will spend hours trying to decide which white chocolate mocha raspberry-style coffee to pair with your Nutella cheesecake. The white mocha drink may be a slight exaggeration, but the Nutella cheesecake is real and absolutely divine. By far the best dessert choice among my group of friends.
My only warning – everything is dangerously overloaded with sugar, so pace yourself. Otherwise you will be overcome with a SERIOUS case of giggles.
